What is Seedance?
Seedance is ByteDance's family of AI video models. You describe a scene or upload a photo, and the model turns it into a short video clip.
In Ikat you can choose between Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast in the same generator, starting from a text prompt or a start image. Both use the same Credit balance, and the cost appears before you generate.
What Seedance does well
Scenes that develop over time
Write the scene as a progression: how the subject enters, what changes and where it ends. Seedance works well with prompts that have a beginning, a middle and an end.
Photos that keep their composition
Start from a photo and use the prompt for what should move and what must stay the same, so the image keeps doing its job.
Quick, low-cost drafts
Test a prompt or a camera move with the fast model first, then switch models for the version you keep.
Seedance models and settings
These are the options the generator offers for each model. Image to Video follows the shape of your photo, and the exact Credit cost appears before you generate.

Seedance FAQ
Still have a question? Write to support@ikat.app.
Is Seedance free?
Yes, to start. New accounts get 10 Credits, enough for one 5-second 720p video with Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast. No card is required.
How many Credits does Seedance use?
Seedance 2.5 starts at 90 Credits. Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast starts at 10 Credits. Longer clips and higher resolutions cost more, and the generator shows the exact cost before you generate.
Should I use Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast?
Use Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast for quick, low-cost drafts and first tries. Use Seedance 2.5 for the version you keep, when longer clips, sound and scenes that develop over time matter more than cost.
How long can Seedance videos be?
Seedance 2.5 makes 5, 10, or 15-second clips at up to 1080p. Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast makes 5 or 10-second clips at up to 1080p. The generator only offers the lengths and resolutions the selected model supports.
Can Seedance make videos with sound?
Seedance 2.5 offers generated audio as an option. Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast makes silent clips.
Can I animate my own photo with Seedance?
Yes. Add a photo as the start frame and describe how it should move. The video follows the shape of your photo. Seedance 2.5 can also take an end frame to set where the shot lands.
How do I write a good Seedance prompt?
Describe the scene in phases: the opening composition, the first movement, the main action, the camera, and the final moment you want to keep.
Can I use Seedance videos commercially?
Yes. You own the videos you create in Ikat and can use them for personal and commercial projects, including videos made with free Credits, as described in our Terms of Use. Ikat does not add a watermark.
